Junior Courses

How do juniors join the tennis programme?
For all players the best place to start is to come along to one of our drop in sessions. From there the coach can make an assessment of playing experience and advise the best programme moving forward.

My child attends a mini tennis class. During the session they do lots of exercises without tennis rackets. Please can you explain?
To give children the best opportunity to reach their full potential they will spend a proportion of each session developing the ABC's - Agility, Balance, Co-ordination and Speed. Fine technical detail is then added as the child develops and moves through the stages of mini tennis.

My child doesn't seem to be making much progress?
All children develop at different rates so don't worry if they seem to have fallen behind their peers. They may just develop later and will catch up in the future. We will give you feedback at the end of each term to help you gauge their performance.

When do players move up groups?
Players move through the levels when they are able to serve and rally effectively and judge the flight of the ball for each level. They must also be mentally ready for the next level which includes being able to concentrate and listen throughout the duration of each session.

How do I rebook my child onto next term?
We will write to you with a letter at the end of each term giving details of the next course. This will be emailed to you, or in the case of no email address will be sent in the post (our aim is to make all correspondence paperless in the future) You can then simply phone reception and quote your childs name and their course and pay with a card over the phone. Or if you are visiting the centre please bring your letter to reception and they will be able to deal with the booking.

Holiday camps

Can i get a discount on holiday camps if i book days in different weeks?
Each week is a separate event, discounts only apply if you book more than one day in a week.

What other sports will be included in the camps?
The camps will be a mixture of intensive tennis tuition and other sports. We add other sports / multi skills to help break up the day. Examples of other activities are netball, swedish hand ball, football, cricket plus others. There will also be sessions where free tennis play is encouraged.

Policies:

Credits and refunds

Feedback
We aim to provide the best tennis experience possible for all players. On occasions though, we may not always get things right. We are very open to any constructive feedback you may have on creating the best tennis environment possible.
